Watchlist: Bisexual Bliss

The most underrepresented letter in lgBtq+ finally takes center stage.

Bisexuality is often misunderstood, overlooked, or erased, but these films celebrate its depth, fluidity, and beauty. They capture the joys and struggles of loving beyond labels, the push and pull of attraction, and the freedom that comes with embracing every part of oneself. It’s time to give bisexual stories the space they deserve.

The film follows Kali, a Brooklyn barista whose world shifts when she meets photographer Mel. Through intimate conversations and shared coffee notes, their connection sparks mutual empowerment and sensual transformation. This film celebrates Black women’s love stories with authenticity, chemistry, and self-discovery.

When Luke stumbles across an underground nightclub he meets Aysha, and their first kiss yields fireworks. Spending more time together, they soon reveal their double lives: a single father working as a mechanic, Luke’s world is grey, austere. While Aysha’s world is adorned with sparkly dresses and colourful makeup, to her suspecting parents, he is Ashiq. The film gently navigates the emotional journey they go through as their awkwardness melts away, but will they be able to see who they truly are across colours and across cultures?
