Roze Filmdagen Amsterdam LGBTQ+ Film Festival wins the Winq Culture Award 2026

A special moment for Roze Filmdagen: on 24 September, Roze Filmdagen had the honour of receiving the Winq Culture Award at The Municipal theatre Amsterdam.
The award is presented to a story or cultural initiative that offers a unique perspective on the colourful complexity of the LGBTQ+ community. A wonderful recognition for Roze Filmdagen and for the stories, filmmakers and communities that have found a home at our festival for almost thirty years.

The award also came at an especially meaningful moment, as we look ahead to our 30th edition, taking place from 9 to 21 March 2027 at Het Ketelhuis.

To mark the occasion, Roze Filmdagen is also featured in a special edition of Winq, including an in-depth interview and spread with festival director Werner Borkes. The magazine is out now!

We could not have wished for a better start to our anniversary year!

Roze Filmdagen thanks Winq Magazine for its consideration and the Culture Award 2026.
